Dr Catherine Pickstock
Reader in Philosophy and Theology
Her office, Faculty of Divinity
Catherine Pickstock is a Fellow of Emmanuel College and works at the intersection between philosophy, theology and the history of culture. She is concerned with the language, perception and nature of the soul.
Divinity is one of the oldest subjects at Cambridge and has the oldest chair, the Lady Margaret’s Professorship, which was founded in 1502. Although the University and most Colleges have a long Christian tradition, the faculty is concerned with all aspects of religion.
