One of my most exhilarating experiences was when I went on a track day at Silverstone and I drove an Audi R8 around the Grand Prix track. The instructor was fantastic and took me to my limit in terms of driving. I never thought I would drive at 145mph (well, admittedly for a matter of seconds). At one point I thought I couldn’t go any faster despite the instructor saying “keep your foot on the accelerator.” You can probably guess his response when I said that I would either have to brake or close my eyes.
