I bought these shoes to replace an identical pair that I was wearing on the Aldgate tube when the bomb went off on the 7th of July 2005. I had to throw that pair away as they were just covered in stuff, bits of people and stuff off the track from when we walked out. I bought this pair straight away, but I didn’t wear them for about a year, it was just too painful. Now when I wear them I feel good, proud and confident.
