The Japanese Cypress in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

The Japanese Cypress Tree

This Japanese Cypress tree is growing in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. This tree is in a quiet, secluded corner of the garden near to the John Hope entrance and its bark is a glorious collage of reds and browns. This was originally photographed for an exhibition in Summerhall, Edinburgh this was one of the first photographs used by Howard Guest to make a scarf.
