My shoe is significant because it opened up a whole new world – the world of sailing. I stepped aboard a 37ft yacht three years ago, learned to sail and have since sailed the Mersey as part of the crew of Bada Bing and the Ionian Sea on Simmare. I love it. And there is only one shoe as I lost the other overboard in a particularly tricky crossing from Syvota to Frikes.
