Squire Law Library

David Wills has been at the Squire Law Library since 1993 and in charge since 1996.

The Squire Law Library was established in1904 and named after Miss Rebecca Flower Squire, whose bequest made it possible. It has occupied three locations. Initially, it was on Downing Street and then between 1935 and 1995 in Cockerell’s Building in the Old Schools. In 1995, the Squire relocated to the top three floors of the Law Faculty Building designed by Norman Foster.

The Library had about 8,000 books when it was opened by King Edward VII and today has over 180,000 books and periodicals.
