Large Examination Hall, New Museums Site
David Briggs has been an invigilator for 20 years since retiring as the headmaster of King’s College School.
The Large Examination Hall has a capacity of 180 and is the largest University room used for exams. Exams are sat every week from January to June and in September. Some 39 locations are used and approximately 3,350 undergraduates take 1,347 papers resulting in about 48,000 individual examinations, all in the four weeks of “finals”.
The Board of Examinations is responsible for organising and overseeing all exams.
