Bhismedev Chakrabarti is a Charles and Katharine Darwin Research Fellow at Darwin College. His work focuses on the perception of facial expressions of emotions in humans and particularly as it affects people with Autism.

ARC’s research output is mostly academic, however there are a number of publications aimed at the community. In 2003, ARC collaborated on the production of “The Transporters”, a series of animated films aimed at helping children with autism to understand emotions. The series was nominated for a BAFTA in 2007.

Patrons of the ARC include the novelist Nick Hornby, the musician Jools Holland, the actor Daniel Radcliffe and the geneticist James Watson.
